Bio

Growing up in a musical household, Maggie 'May' was largely influenced by the sounds emanating from her fathers stereo system.  With roots in Folk, Rock n Roll and Bluegrass bands, she has broken the barriers to forge her own sound as a solo artist; infusing the folk-inspired melodies of Joni Mitchell with the soulful style of Janis Joplin.  Coined a singer with the, "...voice of an angel hit by a Whiskey truck"  Maggie 'May' is sure to intoxicate the audience with her soulful sounds and captivating lyrics.   This summer she recorded her first solo album entitled, Denim Blues and will be hosting a release party in the Fall at the iconic Holten House in Revelstoke, British Columbia.  In addition to  headlining 'Street Fest' in Revelstoke, she will be VIA Rail's resident Artist on Board from Toronto's Union Station to Vancouvers Central Station.  If you are in or near Revelstoke, you can hear her performing at community events and local venues throughout the year.
